About The Medicine Way

Restoring Harmony, Beauty, Balance, and Peace through ancient knowledge and wisdom.

Drawing upon the ancient wisdom, knowledge, and sacred practices of our indigenous ancestors, guided by our Shaman and Prophet Taahaabahh, we aim to elevate the consciousness and deepen the awareness of the collective. Through prayer, ritual, and ceremony, we will foster holistic health and healing of the mind, body, and spirit, restoring our connection to our authentic selves and other, Nizhóní.

Founded by our Medicine Carrier, Andrea Taahaabaah Twitchell, “The Medicine Way” was created out of a deep commitment to sharing the ancient teachings that have been gifted by Spirit and the Holy People of our Ancestors.

At the age of 14, Taahaabaah was gifted a vision of the Hopi Propheci and has since been on a deep healing journey. In 2019 Ms. Twitchell began healing her ancestors and restoring herself back into Hozho with sacred plant Medicine Teachers. During the Summer of 2023 that vision of the prophecy came into fruition and she has been instructed to support and guide her brother’s and sister’s in bridging the mind and the heart, learning how to Walk in Beauty - Nizhoni.

Guided by The Great Creator, The Medicine Way is dedicated to bringing these sacred practices of ancient wisdom and knowledge to all who seek to heal and connect with their authentic selves and the glittering world around them.

About Taahaabaah

Ms. Andrea Taahaabaah Twitchell is a healer, educator, and ceremonial guide who has been weaving nearly two decades of professional training and lived experience across the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of health. Her work is rooted in the understanding that healing occurs when the nervous system is supported, the body is listened to, and the spirit is invited back into relationship with the self.

Her professional path began almost 20 years ago with training in Therapeutic Massage and Somatic Polarity Therapy. Through this foundation, Andrea developed a deep working knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and energetic modalities, with a primary focus on nervous system regulation, grounding, trauma-informed touch, and restoring connection between mind and body.

In the spring of 2012, Ms. Twitchell graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico with a double major in Psychology and Anthropology. She later earned a dual Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling and Art Therapy from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico (2018). Her academic training is thoughtfully integrated with Indigenous ways of knowing, informed by her lived experience and cultural lineage as a Diné (Navajo) woman.

Taahaabaah’s work centers on shadow integration, inner child reconciliation, and the interruption of intergenerational trauma. She approaches healing through both clinical and Indigenous frameworks, honoring the wisdom of ancestral philosophies while remaining grounded in ethical, therapeutic practice. Her offerings emphasize balance, relationship, and the restoration of inner harmony—what is known in Diné tradition as Hózhó.

For more than six years, Taahaabaah has been in mentorship and relationship with sacred plant Medicine Teachers, including Teōnanācatl (psilocybin), Ayahuasca (DMT), Huachuma (Mescaline), Bufo Alvarius (5-MEO-DMT), and Hapé (tobacco). She approaches these medicines with humility, reverence, and responsibility, understanding them not as substances, but as teachers that require preparation, integration, and ongoing care. Her ceremonial work is held in service to healing, community, and remembrance.

In the summer of 2023, Taahaabaah began bringing to life a vision inspired by a Hopi Prophecy gifted to her in her youth. This vision has since grown into The Medicine Way, a nonprofit spiritual and holistic community devoted to bridging heart and mind, Indigenous wisdom and contemporary healing, individual restoration and collective responsibility. The Medicine Way exists to support people in remembering balance, cultivating relationship, and walking a path that honors harmony within themselves, their communities, and the living world.
